Happy Baby Pose
Benefits: This pose massages the spine and gently stretches the inner hips, knees and ankles. Bring your knees in towards your chest and hold onto the bottom of your feet. You can have your arms on the inside of your legs and hold the insteps of your feet, or have your arms on the outside of your legs and hold the outside of your feet. The soles of your feet will face the sky and your knees will bend deeply in towards your shoulders. The knees are as wide as is comfortable. Variations: You can rock gently side to side here. As you roll make a mental connection with your back and make it comfortable. Avoid rolling over too far onto your side, jest a slight roll to massage the spine. Precautions: People with knee injuries should use caution with this pose. Be careful about how deeply you bend your knees. People with back injuries should consult a physician before attempting.
